Vanessa taking time out surrounding herself in the beauty of nature

Vanessa Peare

Hi, Vanessa is my name. I am a curious soul which has led me to explore many wonderful modalities, teachers and places and seems to be a never ending journey.

It started with a dedicated practice of yoga over a decade ago fascinated by its potential for transformation. I embarked on a teacher training and following that I spent years diving into the depths of the philosophy of it, the Goddesses, the Gods, the mantras and the possible why’s of it all with Randall O’Leary really exploring yoga as a way of life and loving the mystery of it.

Through my teacher training I discovered somatic movement.I instantly connected with this beautiful practice of deep awareness through the body, it changed how I experienced my body, my whole self and therefore how I related to the world. The more I did the more I felt like I was slowly awakening to the fullness of life, as if I was seeing and feeling life for the first time. I went on to do years of clinical training in Russia, Sweden and Ireland with Living Somatics, discovering more of myself every step along the way. For the last few years I have been teaching Somatic Clinical Educators and movement class teachers so that the benefits of this beautiful healing modality can spread further afield. It is my passion to teach both students/clients who need relief from pain and also students who have a passion to learn this healing modality.

During my work with one to one somatic clients I felt the need for training in a trauma growth based modality that worked with the body and I studied for a few years training with Steve Hoskinson in Organic Intelligence. This was another level of understanding into the human psyche, polyvagal theory and mostly importantly another level of compassionate work that carries with it such beauty. I weave this into my somatic work and also use it stand alone with coaching clients.

And recently I have been lucky enough to discover the practice of Movement Medicine, again instantly connecting with this powerful practice. This one is a practice of free expression, following the bodys own intelligence and natural impulses to move, bringing more awakening as the process continues. This has already changed me in ways that I could have not imagined. Giving me more of a sense of myself, my boudaries, how I want to live, etc. So once again I am embarked on the apprenticeship that grew into a full training and am now teaching classes and bringing in world of somatic understanding into it.

I believe that we are all our own healers, that we do have an organic intelligence and an inner wisdom that knows best and for me movement is key in the process of healing. I would not be where I am today without the support of my teachers who have come in many forms and it is my wish to support others in their own process on the journey of healing and of finding a deeper connection to themselves.
